Paola González Muñoz was born in the city of Monterrey…
Nuevo León, in Mexico. She started painting at a very early age. Mostly self-taught, she attended classes in Mexico, USA and Switzerland. She reflects her feelings and expresses her emotions mostly through colors, ideas, textures and shapes flow on the canvas in an spontaneous process. The variety of themes in her work from one series to another shows her imagination and endless creativity.
Her work transfigures the ordinary into extraordinary. The monotonous into something different and entertaining. Her work have been exposed in Mexico and abroad, her paintings are in private collections in several countries: Mexico, USA, Argentina, United Kingdom, Saudi Arabia, United Emirates (Abu Dhabi, Dubai), Bahrein, Qatar, Kuwait and Oman, amongst others. Neiman Marcus and Horchow are amidst her costumers. Some of her paintings has been exhibited in some museums, such as the Metropolitan of Monterrey, Museum El Centenario and El Obispado; Museum of Modern Arts in Mexico City, Museum of Cozumel, and Museum of Chetumal in Quintana Roo; the Harlingen Arts and Heritage Museum and the Brownsville Museum of Fine Arts, in Texas, just to mention a few.
